Bio
On November 12, 1929, I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My childhood was pleasant, but uneventful for the most part. I had decided at an early age that I should like to be an actress when I grew up. After I graduated from high school in 1947, I struck out on my own, heading to New York's bright lights to try my luck there. I worked some as a model and made my debut on Broadway in 1949. In 1951, I appeared in my first film 'Fourteen Hours'. It was a small part, but a start nonetheless. The following year I landed the role of Amy Kane in 'High Noon', a western starring Gary Cooper and Lloyd Bridges which turned out to be very popular. In 1953, I appeared in only one film, but it was another popular one. The film was 'Mogambo' where I played Linda Nordley. The film was a jungle drama in which fellow cast members, Clark Gable and Ava Gardner turned in masterful performances. Although I got noticed with High Noon, my work with Hitchcock, which began with 'Dial M for Murder' made me a star. My performance in 'Rear Window' brought me to prominence. As Lisa Fremont, I was cast opposite James Stewart, who played a crippled photographer who, while trapped in a wheelchair, witnesses a murder in the apartment across the way. I was very busy, appearing in five films in 1954. I was blessed enough to win an Academy Award for my work opposite Bing Crosby in 'The Country Girl'. In 1955, I once again teamed with Hitch in 'To Catch a Thief' this time with Cary Grant. In 1956, I played Tracy Lord in the musical comedy 'High Society', which also starred Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. It also turned out to be my final acting performance. I had married Prince Rainier of Monaco on April 19th of 1956. I never returned to film, but I had 3 lovely children and spent a good deal of my time working on humanitarian matters.

Note: I am (obviously) not the actual Grace Kelly, nor do I have any connection to her estate, family, or the principality of Monaco.
